Ankle injuries

The ankle is one of the joints most prone to injury in both daily life and sport. Sprains are very common and, if not treated properly, can cause instability or recurrent injury. Other common issues include Achilles tendinopathy and overload due to poor biomechanics or posture.

Do you recognize these symptoms?

  • Pain or swelling after a twist or sprain.
  • Instability while walking or running.
  • Pain in the Achilles tendon, especially at the start of activity.
  • Restricted movement or stiffness.

How we help

We assess stability, strength and range of motion. Treatment includes manual therapy to reduce inflammation and restore movement, followed by strengthening and proprioception (balance) exercises to prevent re-injury. We also analyse your gait and advise on footwear and daily care.
